FROM FINLAND WITH LOVE

What do doilies and mens shirts have in common? At first glance, probably not much—unless you’re Tuija Loomi, a Finland native who rescues vintage materials and upcycles them into new, stylish, one-of-a-kind custom pieces... made to last a lifetime, or more.

Tuija’s Etsy shop, Tuuni-the Finnish word for a girl and means something peaceful and calm-is the epitome of tranquility. Dreamy pillows, stylish fabric containers, and fashionable card and note envelopes are perfect for your keepsake love letters or cards. Tuija, once a featured seller on Etsy, comes by her craft naturally as her aunts are accomplished artisans and she earned a cultural arts degree from the University of Helsinki.
