{GIVEAWAY} Babiators!

Meet Super Teddy! Faster than a speeding bullet. Resistant to injury and immune to physical damage. Generates vocal sounds of a higher amplitude than a normal human. Takes on abilities of certain wild animals. Crawls on vertical and horizontal surfaces. Brings inanimate objects to life. Draws power from small but abundant sources of energy...

Okay, so maybe we're a little biased in thinking  Super Teddy has some super seriously good Suz genes. We confess that he gets his UV superpower, though, from wearing Babiators

From their media kit: Babiators are the epitome of awesome: the first brand to stand up to the sun, the rough and tumble of daily activities of an adventuresome young aviator, and playground fashionistas — all in a single purchase.

Virtually indestructible, Babiators are aviator-style rubber sunglasses for kids ages nine months and up that provide 100 percent UVA and UVB protection from the sun's harmful rays.

Babiators are also 100 percent nontoxic — free of BPA, phthalates, and heavy metals — so they're completely safe for kids curious to know how cool tastes!

Babiators come in two sizes and four sharp colors — Black Ops Black, Blue Angels Blue, Rockstar Red, and Princess Pink.

Sold online, they are also available at these retailers, and locally you can find them at Central Street Farmhouse {after June 1st}.

So here’s to the eco-way of keeping your super kids super-safe… and super cool. Just ask Super Teddy!

Win a pair of Babiator sunglasses — in your choice of color and size — by following these steps!

1) Fan Well to Do on Facebook

2) Fan Babiators on Facebook

3) Leave a comment on Facebook letting us know you're a fan of both.

4) For 2 extra entries, follow Well to Do and Babiators on Twitter {and let us know}.

Contest is open for one week. A random winner will be selected and announced on Friday, June 3rd, 2011.

{GUEST POST} Mainely Running Moms & More!

Sure you run. From home to work to pre-K to soccer to Target to Hannaford. And then back home. But you wouldn't exactly call that exercise. Lucky for you {and us}, a group of Maine moms can motivate mom-kind to enjoy pounding the pavement... and escape the "errand exercise". Whether you're an expert or a first-timer, Mainely Running will help you get into the groove. See what these ladies have to say below!

Want to start running but don’t know where to start? Have you set your sights on a half-marathon only to lose motivation and quit part-way through your training program? Have you dreamed of crossing a marathon finish line but feel intimidated by the distance and all those runner-type people who call themselves marathoners?  Has all of the buzz over Pippa's derriere inspired you to start running? If you answered yes to any of those questions, (or even if you didn’t) you should go check out MainelyRunning.comMainely Running is a group dedicated to supporting and encouraging regular folks to get active and stick with it.

Our group was started by 3 Bangor-area moms who went from walking the mall for exercise to running marathons. Before 3 years ago, none of us three was a runner but together, we tackled the distances and finished the races, including lots of half-marathons and 2 (soon to be 3) full marathons.

We're not terribly fast or serious about competing, but we don't let that stop us from getting out and having a good time with it, even during our races. (Yes, we've stopped to have our picture taken with the cute boys manning the water station at mile 16 of our first full marathon!) Throughout our training and races, we've heard countless times things like “Wow! That is so impressive. I could never run a marathon.” But, we want to get the message out that if we can do it, so can you!

While we can't promise to make you backside look like Pippa's, we can assure you can have a good time trying. Check out what us girls have to say by following us over at www.mainelyrunning.com and on the Mainely Running FB page.

{RECIPE} Mary Love's Sangria

Once upon a time, Suz's mom was a stewardess for TWA. Her route was New York<--->Spain where she met lots of people and served lots of Sangria. Fortunately for many, she brought home that Sangria recipe straight from first-class... and made a few tweaks. In celebration of Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day, we're sharing Mary's magical mix should you be thirsty for some potent potion.

MARY LOVE'S SANGRIA

1 Small Bottle of Burgundy

1/2 Shot of Cognac

3/4 Cup of Orange Juice

The Juice of 4-5 Oranges

The Juice of 1 Lemon

3/4 Cup of Sugar

Slice 1-2 Oranges and Soak in Pitcher

Viola!

Says Mary: Sangria is best tasting when made 4-8 hours in advance of serving. Taste and see if you need to add some additional sugar or orange juice... or possibly a tad more Cognac. Be sure to garnish with orange slices and serve over lots of ice!
